About the Role

As an Admission Coordinator, you will play a key role in managing the intake and admission process while supporting a safe, therapeutic environment for clients. This position combines administrative coordination with direct client interaction to ensure smooth operations and quality care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain an accurate, up-to-date waitlist and process potential clients in accordance with contractual and program procedures
  • Obtain and submit preadmission medical documentation for physician review and approval
  • Admit clients into the EMR system, assigning counselors, programs, and diagnoses
  • Coordinate admission flow, including scheduling, bed/room assignments, payer setup, fee collection, and documentation
  • Prepare and maintain required reports (Daily Census, Admit/Discharge reports, Monthly Census, YTD Bed Day by Payor, etc.)
  • Coordinate and document Weekly Treatment Team Meetings
  • Support the treatment team in delivering direct client care and maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment
  • Supervise clients and model appropriate behavior to promote a structured, respectful setting
  • Facilitate psycho-educational and substance abuse education groups
  • Administer and document Breathalyzer and urinalysis screenings
  • Monitor and document client self-administration of approved medications
  • Identify and report facility maintenance needs
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance with all policies and procedures
  • Complete required administrative documentation (e.g., payroll, travel reimbursement)
  • Participate in ongoing training and maintain certifications (First Aid, CPR, etc.)

What We’re Looking For

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in mental health, substance abuse, or a related field
    • Relevant college coursework in mental health, counseling, social work, or a human services field may substitute for experience
