About the Role

As the Certified Medical Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the operational excellence and strategic direction of Meridian. You will:

  • Lead enterprise-wide quality improvement initiatives to foster a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • May be required to go to multiple clinics on campus with licensed physician.
  • Perform clerical, insurance and medical record functions.
  • Retrieve and input data correctly as directed by the physician in the patient EHR.
  • Provide clerical support on all levels within the Center.

What We're Looking For

  • Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited course of study as a Medical Office Assistant and have proof of certification as a Certified Medical Assistant.
  • Must maintain current certification as a Certified Medical Assistant.
  • A minimum of 1 year experience with direct patient care in a type of healthcare facility is a must. Previous mental health experience, particularly with psychiatric treatment plans, is ideal.
  • ** Must be able to type at least 27 wpm on prescreen assessment and score at least 65% on general assessment.

  • Drivers Requirement:

    Must have a current Florida Driver's License with a clean driving record while meeting company insurance requirements.

    In order to qualify as a Center Driver, the candidate must have an active Florida Driver's license. Motor Vehicle Record will be reviewed for eligibility. No more than 3 moving violations and/or accidents within the past 3 years and no major violations during the past 5 years.
