Position Title: Crisis Counselor - Red Cross - This position is grant-sponsored and benefit-eligible, with a fixed term anticipated to conclude September 30, 2026, upon the expiration of the grant.
Location: Baker, Bradford, Union, Alachua, Columbia, Dixie, Levy, Gilchrist, Putnam, Suwanee, Hamilton and LaFayette Counties.
Salary: $20.40 | Hr| Non - Exempt

About the Role
As the Crisis Counselor - Red Cross, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the operational excellence and strategic direction of Meridian. You will:
- Prepares and maintains activity records and ensures quality of documentation for grant reporting.
- Records every activity performed by the direct service team.
- Table Outreach and Recovery Specialist events.
- Provides feedback to Team Lead on presenting needs of the community.
- Assist in providing services outlined in the community Outreach and Recovery Plan of Action to help meet grant deliverables.
- Maintain contact with all staff/agencies providing services to monitor clients' progress and assess appropriateness of services.
- Serves as a resource to citizens and other community agencies.
- Attend community meetings as part of ongoing outreach and recovery efforts of the storm.
- Researches, develops, and maintains a comprehensive list of community resources that includes addresses, phone numbers, and names of contacts for each resource.
- Performs other duties as required to meet program and departmental goals and objectives.
What We're Looking For
- 1 years working directly with community members in a social service, outreach, or community engagement role.
- This may include experience in case management, community organizing, or working with local organizations.
- High school diploma or GED Equivalent or Additional Experience.
