Location: Baker, Bradford, Union, Alachua, Columbia, Dixie, Levy, Gilchrist, Putnam, Suwannee, Hamilton, and Lafayette Counties

Pay: $20.40 per hour | Non-Exempt

About the Role:

As a Crisis Counselor, you will play a vital role in supporting communities impacted by Hurricanes Helene and Milton. This position focuses on outreach, engagement, and resource connection to help individuals access medical, behavioral, and social services during recovery efforts.

You will:

  • Maintain accurate activity records for grant reporting and quality assurance.
  • Document all outreach and service activities performed by the direct service team.
  • Participate in community outreach events and provide feedback on emerging needs.
  • Assist in implementing the Outreach and Recovery Plan to meet grant deliverables.
  • Coordinate with staff and agencies to monitor client progress and ensure service appropriateness.
  • Serve as a resource for citizens and community organizations.
  • Attend community meetings to support ongoing recovery efforts.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive list of community resources with contact details.
  • Perform other duties as needed to achieve program and departmental objectives.

What We're Looking For:

Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent (additional experience may substitute).

Experience: At least 1 year of direct community engagement in social services, outreach, case management, or similar roles.
