About the Role

As the Jail-Based Specialist for the MAT Program, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the operational excellence and strategic direction of Meridian. You will:

  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative assistance to the MAT team, including answering phones, responding to emails, managing team sites, and managing program records
  • Scheduling: Coordinate and schedule appointments and meetings for the Jail Based MAT program, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and prepared.
  • Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate reports on program outcomes, patient progress, and other relevant metrics.
  • Processing Referral Information: Handle the intake and processing of referral information, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed and filed appropriately.
  • Coordination of Activities: Facilitate the coordination of activities between the jail and Meridian, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including electronic health records (EHRs) and program databases
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with inmates, families, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care coordination and collaboration
  • Confidentiality and Compliance: Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines, organizational policies, and relevant laws and regulations
  • Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by the Jail Based MAT Program Manager to support program operations and patient care

What We’re Looking For

  • High School diploma and 2 years of experience in data entry, administrative, or clerical roles.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHRs) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience as a secretary, program assistant, administrative assistant, or similar role.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Integrity and professionalism.
  • Desire to develop professionally.
  • ** Must be able to type at least 27 wpm on prescreen assessment and score at least 65% on general assessment.
