About the Role
The Program Manager - Access Center is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the operations of the Access Center, the primary point of contact for individuals seeking mental health and addiction services. This position requires clinical expertise, crisis intervention skills, and a strong commitment to customer service. The Program Manager ensures that callers receive appropriate assessments, referrals, and follow-up care, while maintaining high standards of service delivery and operational efficiency.
This role supports the "No Wrong Door" philosophy by coordinating with other Access and Admissions programs, providing training, and offering technical support. The Program Manager supervises a team of counselors, manages daily operations, and participates in the administrator on-call rotation.
- Supervise daily operations of the Access Center team and daily scheduling of staff and duties.
- Conduct routine call monitoring, secret caller checks for technical/quality review, actively manage, onboard, and train incoming employees.
- Complete administrative duties such as approving time sheets, managing PTO, conducting employee coaching/disciplinary action as needed, oversee timely processing of internal and external referrals.
- Provide crisis intervention, emotional first aid for distressed callers, maintain proper certifications, provide training for Access Center and back up crisis line staff.
- Partner with the multiple program managers/providers within Meridian to maintain great customer service, quality client care, efficient workflows, including promoting the use of telehealth.
- Perform face-to-face, well-checks, biopsychosocial, and other therapies as needed to maintain patient flow for program engagement.
- Complete monthly tracking, analysis of call management, access to service data and performs other duties as required to meet the Access Center goals and objectives.
What We're Looking For
- Master's degree in social work, mental health or related counseling field.
- Current Florida LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, or Licensed Psychologist required.
- Experience in crisis intervention training and knowledge of Crisis Line protocols preferred.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
