As the Clinical Director of Inpatient and Central Receiving Services at Meridian, you'll have the opportunity to lead with purpose and make a meaningful difference for individuals experiencing some of life's most challenging moments. Providing leadership for our Access and Emergency Services, you'll help ensure that individuals entering our care are met with safety, dignity, compassion, and the clinical support they need to move toward stabilization and recovery.
In this role, you'll guide and support multidisciplinary teams, strengthen clinical practices, oversee daily operations, and champion initiatives that improve patient outcomes and the overall care experience. WHAT YOU'LL DO
As the Clinical Director of Inpatient and Central Receiving Services, you'll provide strategic, clinical, and operational leadership for Access and Emergency Services. You'll oversee the delivery of high-quality care while balancing patient safety, regulatory compliance, fiscal responsibility, workforce needs, and operational effectiveness.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Direct and oversee daily clinical operations, including patient admission, treatment, and discharge processes.
- Ensure efficient workflows and the effective utilization of staff and organizational resources.
- Lead and support the delivery of safe, compassionate, patient-centered care.
- Hire, train, supervise, develop, and evaluate clinical staff, including nurses, therapists, social workers, and other members of the care team.
- Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing team environment.
- Develop and strengthen evidence-based treatment protocols focused on patient safety, stabilization, and recovery.
- Ensure compliance with applicable state, federal, contractual, and accreditation requirements.
- Lead quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives that strengthen clinical care and operational outcomes.
- Define, monitor, and analyze key performance indicators and use data to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Oversee workforce planning and contribute to responsible budget and resource management.
- Respond to emergent operational and clinical situations, critical incidents, and staffing needs to help ensure continuity of care and patient safety.
- Collaborate with organizational leaders to align clinical operations with Meridian's mission, priorities, and strategic goals.
- Serve as an active member of Meridian's Senior Leadership Team.
- Participate in a leadership on-call rotation to provide support for clinical and operational needs outside of standard business hours.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
Education & Experience
- Master's degree required in Nursing (MSN), Healthcare Administration, Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive leadership or supervisory experience in a behavioral or mental healthcare setting.
- Experience in inpatient, acute care, or crisis response settings is required.
- Behavioral or mental health experience is required.
- Previous experience within healthcare and nonprofit settings is preferred.
Licensure
- Active professional licensure in the State of Florida, such as RN, LCSW, LMHC, or equivalent, is strongly preferred.

- Technical Proficiency: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, as well as clinical software systems.
- The ability to work collaboratively across departments and build strong relationships with leaders, employees, and other key partners.
WORK LOCATION & AVAILABILITY
Because Access and Emergency Services support patients around the clock, flexibility and leadership presence are important components of this position.
- This is an on-site leadership position requiring regular presence at assigned Access and Emergency Services facilities.
- Scheduling flexibility may be required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on operational needs.
- Participation in a leadership on-call rotation is required to support 24/7 operations.
- A valid Florida driver's license and an acceptable driving record that meets company insurance standards are required.
- Center Driver eligibility requires candidates to be at least 21 years of age.
- Driving eligibility requirements include no more than three moving violations and/or accidents within the past three years and no major violations within the past five years.
