About the Role

• Greet and assist telephone and on-site clients with inquiries and questions with respect and dignity; refer to most appropriate department/program for assistance
• Answer all telephone calls in a professional manner when necessary
• Accurately relays client financial responsibility to clients, collect co-pays, requests demographic/payor information, insurance card, obtains verification documentation, etc.
• Accurately Verifies Eligibility by calling or using Availity and Medicaid websites
• Collect old balances on Clients accounts
• Set up Payment Plans on high balances
• Notify patient of Self-Pay responsibility
• Update Billing Information in EMR
• Review Clients accounts to ensure all Financial Documents are up to date
• Updates the EMR and Tower (as applicable) as outlined and directed in the FC Workflow Process
• Follow scheduling guidelines, schedule and/or rescheduling client appointments
• Works closely with front desk staff to maximize collections

What We're Looking For

• Associate's degree, preferably in business, and experience in general clerical, secretarial, receptionist experience, preferably including third party billing

OR

• High School Diploma or its equivalent AND 2 years of general office, secretarial or clerical experience, one of which must be in dealing with the public, preferably in a clinical setting and/or dealing with third-party billing.
