About the Role

As the HR Generalist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the operational excellence and strategic direction of Meridian. You will:

  • Workers' Compensation Management - Process, maintain, and monitor workers' compensation cases; conduct ergonomic assessments; and prepare required reports.
  • OSHA Compliance - Maintain OSHA logs and file annual OSHA reports in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Leave Administration - Manage full-cycle processing and tracking of FMLA, LOA, and ADA accommodation requests.
  • New Hire Processing - Complete weekly onboarding tasks including IT ticket submissions, HRIS data entry, and participation in in-person new hire orientation.
  • Background Screening - Conduct and track all required screenings (local, Level II, DMV, clearinghouse rosters) and manage the Center Driver program.
  • I-9 & E-Verify Compliance - Complete I-9s, process E-Verify cases, and ensure adherence to USCIS guidelines.
  • HRIS & Personnel Records - Maintain accurate personnel files and HRIS records, including new hire data, credential updates, health certifications, and routine reporting.
  • Onboarding Support - Assist new hires with obtaining required educational transcripts and support ongoing onboarding activities.
  • Employee Offboarding - Conduct exit interviews, analyze feedback, and prepare summary reports.
  • Internal HR Audits - Complete quarterly personnel file audits to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Staff Support & Development - Aid staff by supporting training coordination, professional development initiatives, and employee resource needs.
  • Cross-Functional HR Support - Serve as backup for payroll and benefits processing, HR phone coverage, federal reporting (VETS-4212, EEO), external audits, and other HR functions.
  • Policy Support - Assist in updating HR policies related to assigned responsibilities.
  • Additional Duties - Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational goals.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, or related discipline preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience in human resources, recruiting, onboarding, compliance, training coordination, employee support, or administrative operations.

Experience supporting multiple HR functions in a fast-paced environment preferred.
