Working alongside an interdisciplinary team that includes psychiatric providers, nurses, therapists, case managers, and therapeutic mentors, you'll provide clinical guidance, strengthen collaboration, and help ensure services are responsive to the unique needs of each youth and family.

What You'll Do

  • Provide leadership and oversight of the day-to-day clinical and administrative operations of the CAT Team.
  • Hire, train, supervise, support, and develop program staff, including completing performance evaluations and providing ongoing coaching and feedback.
  • Provide clinical supervision and guidance to team members to support high-quality, person-centered care.
  • Lead interdisciplinary team meetings and promote collaboration across all disciplines.
  • Direct and coordinate client admissions, assessments, treatment planning, and the overall treatment process.
  • Monitor clinical documentation for quality, accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
  • Ensure team members meet established productivity, documentation, and program expectations.
  • Provide direct clinical services when needed to support clients, families, and program operations.
  • Support the delivery of welcoming, individualized services for individuals with complex behavioral health, substance use, and co-occurring needs.
  • Promote the use of motivational, stage-matched, family-centered, and evidence-informed interventions.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with schools, law enforcement, human service agencies, referral sources, and other community partners serving youth and families.
  • Assist with monitoring and administering the program budget.
  • Complete required program reports and support compliance with contractual, organizational, and program requirements.
  • Support staff in obtaining required WRAP certification through LSF.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support program, department, and organizational goals.

What You'll Bring

  • Master's degree in a behavioral health field such as Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Art Therapy, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a closely related field.
  • Licensure eligibility in the State of Florida is required. Candidates seeking licensure as a Registered Intern may be considered.
  • Active Florida licensure through the Florida Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy and Mental Health Counseling is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of experience working with children or adolescents with behavioral health needs.
  • At least three years of experience working with individuals experiencing substance use and/or co-occurring disorders.
  • Experience with family systems therapy preferred.
  • Management or supervisory experience overseeing the work and development of others.
  • Strong understanding of the CAT model and its approach to serving youth and families.
  • Certified Addictions Professionals with a master's degree and five years of relevant experience, or master's-level candidates in social work, counseling, psychology, or a closely related field with five years of experience working with the target population, may also be considered.
  • Proficiency with Excel and the ability to effectively utilize technology for documentation, reporting, communication, and program oversight.
  • Ability to type at least 27 words per minute on the prescreen assessment and achieve a minimum score of 65% on the general assessment.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of behavioral health services, clinical practices, and treatment approaches for children, adolescents, and families.
  • Knowledge of substance use disorders, co-occurring conditions, and the complexities that may impact youth and family functioning.
  • Understanding of family systems, person-centered care, motivational approaches, and developmentally appropriate interventions.
  • Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and clinical decision-making skills.
  • Ability to provide effective clinical supervision, coaching, feedback, and professional development to multidisciplinary team members.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate, support, and hold team members accountable while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Ability to effectively lead and coordinate an interdisciplinary team while recognizing and utilizing the expertise of different clinical and support disciplines.
  • Strong judgment and the ability to make sound, independent decisions in a fast-paced behavioral health environment.
  • Ability to effectively manage competing priorities, deadlines, staffing needs, productivity expectations, and day-to-day program operations.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to review clinical documentation for quality, timeliness, accuracy, and compliance with program expectations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with staff, leadership, families, community partners, and referral sources.
  • Ability to build and maintain productive relationships with schools, law enforcement, healthcare providers, human service agencies, and community organizations.
  • Ability to approach youth and families with compassion, professionalism, cultural sensitivity, and respect.
  • Ability to maintain appropriate professional boundaries and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, and the ability to learn and effectively utilize electronic health record and other program-related systems.

Driver Requirements

Because this role supports a community-based program, the position must meet Meridian's Center Driver requirements.

  • Must have a current Florida Driver's License and meet company insurance requirements.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age to qualify as a Center Driver.
  • Motor Vehicle Record will be reviewed to determine eligibility.
  • Must have no more than three moving violations and/or accidents within the past three years and no major violations within the past five years.
  • Drivers over age 65 must provide a current physician's note indicating they have no driving limitations.
