WHAT YOU'LL DO
As the Primary Care Program Supervisor, you'll provide hands-on leadership and operational support for Meridian's Primary Care Clinics in Gainesville and Lake City. You'll work alongside providers, staff, and leadership to help our clinics operate efficiently while maintaining a positive experience for our patients.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Supervise the daily operations of the Primary Care Clinics and help ensure efficient, patient-focused workflows.
- Provide direct supervision, coaching, training, and ongoing performance feedback to assigned team members.
- Coordinate provider and staff schedules to maintain appropriate clinic coverage and continuity of care.
- Monitor patient flow and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, access to care, and the overall patient experience.
- Collaborate with medical providers and leadership to implement departmental goals, policies, procedures, and operational improvements.
- Support compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, quality standards, and HIPAA requirements.
- Coordinate and facilitate staff training related to Electronic Health Records (EHR), e-prescribing, workflow processes, and other clinic operations.
- Assist with the onboarding and orientation of new employees, students, interns, residents, and other learners rotating through Primary Care.
- Respond to patient concerns and service recovery needs with professionalism, empathy, and a commitment to finding solutions.
- Monitor clinic performance indicators and recommend opportunities for process improvement.
- Support quality improvement initiatives and participate in organizational projects as assigned.
- Maintain open and effective communication among providers, staff, patients, and organizational leadership.
- Assist with inventory oversight, equipment needs, and other operational resources necessary to keep the clinics functioning effectively.
- Serve as a go-to resource for day-to-day operational questions and concerns, escalating significant issues to department leadership when appropriate.
- Perform additional duties as needed to support the success of Primary Care operations.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required.
- Candidates who are not currently certified may obtain their certification within the designated timeframe following hire.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare or outpatient clinic setting.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience is preferred.
- Experience working with Electronic Health Records (EHR) is required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications is required.
- Knowledge of HIPAA requirements and patient confidentiality practices.

TRAVEL & WORK LOCATION
Because this position supports Primary Care operations in both Gainesville and Lake City, the ability to travel between clinic locations is an important part of the role.
- A current Florida driver's license and acceptable driving record are required.
- Travel between assigned Meridian locations may be necessary based on clinic and operational needs.
- Candidates must meet Meridian's motor vehicle and company insurance eligibility requirements.
- Driving eligibility includes no more than three moving violations and/or accidents within the past three years and no major violations within the past five years.
- This is a hands-on supervisory role requiring regular interaction with providers, staff, patients, and leadership.
