LEAD TRANSFORMATIONAL COMMUNITY MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES

Are you a strategic and mission-driven leader with a passion for behavioral healthcare, community collaboration, and innovative service delivery?

As the Vice President, Community Wraparound Services, South, you will play a key leadership role in overseeing some of Meridian's most impactful community-based behavioral health programs. Based primarily in Ocala, Florida, with leadership responsibilities extending into Gainesville and surrounding service areas, you'll help shape the future of care for individuals experiencing severe and persistent mental illness, co-occurring disorders, and justice-involved behavioral health needs.

This role offers the opportunity to lead multidisciplinary teams that provide essential wraparound services through programs including:

  • Florida Assertive Community Treatment (FACT)
  • Forensic Multidisciplinary Teams (FMT)
  • Co-Responder Programs partnering with local law enforcement
  • Community Behavioral Health Center Grant initiatives
  • Additional community-based behavioral health services as assigned

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As the Vice President, Community Wraparound Services, South, you will provide executive oversight, operational leadership, and strategic direction for Meridian's community-based behavioral health programs.

Strategic Leadership

  • Establish short- and long-range departmental goals aligned with Meridian's strategic plan.
  • Lead program expansion, service innovation, and business development efforts.
  • Conduct market analysis and identify opportunities for new services and funding sources.
  • Develop business plans supporting successful implementation of new initiatives.
  • Provide leadership and direction for grant-funded and contract-based programs.

Program Operations

  • Direct and oversee FACT, Forensic Multidisciplinary Teams, Co-Responder Programs, and other wraparound services.
  • Ensure all programs meet and exceed grant, contractual, accreditation, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor program performance indicators and implement corrective action plans when necessary.
  • Ensure quality clinical services and positive client outcomes across all assigned programs.
  • Oversee program implementation, development, administration, and evaluation.

Financial & Administrative Oversight

  • Develop and manage departmental budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor fiscal performance and ensure responsible stewardship of resources.
  • Track program deliverables and ensure timely completion of required reporting activities.
  • Oversee reporting systems, including SPARS and other funder-required databases.

Quality Improvement & Compliance

  • Partner with Senior Leadership to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor documentation standards through auditing and peer review processes.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with federal, state, contractual, and organizational requirements.
  • Support Meridian's Path to Excellence initiatives through continuous service improvement efforts.

Staff Leadership & Development

  • Directly supervise program leadership and clinical staff.
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and clinical guidance to enhance service delivery.
  • Support recruitment, retention, and professional development efforts.
  • Assist in supervising licensure-seeking interns when needed.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.

Community Engagement

  • Serve as an advocate for Meridian's community behavioral health programs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, funders, referral sources, and community partners.
  • Provide consultation, education, and outreach to community organizations.
  • Report to advisory boards and participate in community planning efforts.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

Education & Licensure

Required

  • Active Florida licensure as one of the following:
  • LMHC
  • LCSW
  • LMFT
  • Ph.D. in a Mental Health Field

Experience

  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive clinical and administrative experience in behavioral healthcare.
  • Previous leadership and management experience required.
  • Experience overseeing multidisciplinary treatment teams.
  • Experience managing budgets, contracts, grants, and performance initiatives.

Preferred

  • Experience in community-based treatment delivery models.
  • Experience working with forensic and justice-involved populations.
  • Experience with FACT, FMT, or wraparound service models.
  • Grant writing and grant management experience.

TRAVEL & WORK LOCATION

This position is primarily based in Ocala, Florida, with regular responsibilities extending to Meridian's Gainesville operations and other service locations as needed.

Candidates must:

  • Possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver's License.
  • Meet Meridian's driver eligibility and insurance requirements.
  • Be willing and able to travel between assigned locations.
  • Maintain an acceptable driving record in accordance with company standards.
