SSVF Housing Navigator

The SSVF Housing Navigator will be a member of a multidisciplinary team in the Veteran Services program. This position will provide support to program participants to locate and secure permanent housing, this includes providing home visits and various field-based visits through enhanced housing services. The Housing Navigator will work closely with the HUD-VASH team to support veterans in their housing search and placement process. They will help to ensure that veteran that veterans are connected to the services which will assist in successful housing placement. The Housing Navigator supports the Supportive Services for Veteran Families Program’s efforts through landlord engagement, retention, and collaboration with other housing agencies. In this capacity, the Housing Navigator will provide landlord outreach and engagement services to develop a full range of permanent housing opportunities for homeless veterans. The Housing Navigator is the liaison for all landlords and property management personnel and the SSVF program and its clients. This position acts as a housing advocate for Veteran households by negotiating housing options on behalf of Veteran households in enrolled in the SSVF program. The position will support Veteran households in complying with housing rules through various tenant rights education and life skill trainings. Housing Navigator provide targeted customer service and mediation support to participating properties to promote long term tenancy and partnership and will work to find creative solutions to prevent tenant evictions and work to support positive tenant and Landlord resolutions.

Therapist - CAT Team

A Therapist for the Community Action Team (CAT) provides clinical evaluation, treatment, and consultation services. It is a self-contained team that provides comprehensive, intensive, community-based treatment to families with children and youth at risk of out of home placement due to mental health disorders. This advanced professional position requires the ability to build professional empathetic relationships with clients, while providing efficient and appropriate direct clinical services. A CAT Therapist is expected to be an advocate for clients and interact with clients in a manner that reflects cultural sensitivity. Their purpose is to not only provide clinical treatment, but also help assure the clients rights are protected, report any abuse and/or neglect as mandated by law.
