Pay Rate: $15.00 Hr. | Non-Exempt

Position Summary:

Seeking a professional and enthusiastic individual to assist the Staffing and Recruiting Department with recruiting, hiring, on-boarding and staffing of Meridian programs.  This is a moderately responsible position that requires flexibility and a team player.  Duties will include a variety of administrative functions including initial applicant prescreening, appointment scheduling, applicant testing/interview coordination and file organization. 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2 years of HR or recruiting setting strongly preferred; administrative, secretarial or clerical experience, dealing with the public may substitute for preferred experience. 
  • Excellent communication skills, multi-tasking ability and a strong positive customer service attitude is crucial. 
  • Proficiency in software programs including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook; PowerPoint is strongly preferred.  AA or higher preferred, High school or GED required.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Completes initial applicant prescreen for minimum qualifications in Meridian's application database in order for recruiter to review.
  • Meet and greet all applicants in a friendly customer service approach upon arrival to their appointments, interviews, testing, etc.
  • Set up applicants with applicable testing and paperwork; explaining in detail the testing and paperwork process.
  • Works with the recruiter to ensure all required recruiting and hiring documents for applicants are collected.  Assist with organization and close-out of job files.
  • Completes employment reference checks for PRN applicants.
  • Responsible for completing PRN employee reassignments in Meridian's HR information system, as requested by the recruiter.
  • Maintains positive, proactive customer service approach through cooperation and communication within the HR department and other departments/programs within Meridian, as well as applicants and other stakeholders.
  • Cross-train with On-Call Scheduling and Credentialing to serve as a backup when needed. Will participate in on-call rotation.
