Meridian Behavioral Health is a private, non -profit organization with roots in the mental

health community since the 1960's. Since that time, we've expanded to 13 counties in

North Central Florida. We us a multidisciplinary approach to treating to those facing

mental health challenges and substance use disorders.

  • Develop and implement an overall Strategic Giving Plan Annually
  • Create measurable goals, strategies and activities related to individual annual and/or major giving.
  • Steward donors and build partnerships and engagement.
  • Track and report results based on pre-defined quarterly milestones.
  • Identify and connect with potential donors and business partners. Discover who they are and what they care about most.
  • Willingness to relentlessly search for and seek out champions for Meridian.
  • Engage regularly in face-to-face cultivation and solicitation contacts with key donors.
  • Continuously invite new donors to support Meridian.
  • Keep donors' feeling connected, updated, and valued as true partners. Communicate vision and program strategies for growth.
  • Provide personalized reports annually showing the impact of donors' giving and why it matters. Adjust according to donors' preferred mode and frequency of reporting. Work with Boad of Associates on developing fundraising strategies.
  • Grow the donor base by 10-15% annually by discovering and developing new annual and major donor partnerships through intentional networking and research.
  • Responsible for collaboration with staff in the areas of online and direct mail marketing, community relations, gift processing, database maintenance, and events.



Who are we looking for?

Education: BA in nonprofit management, public administration, business administration, public relations, community relations, marketing, or a related field. Fundraising credentials or certifications a plus. MA preferred.

Experience: A minimum of 5-7 years of direct, professional experience in development, (raising gifts of $50K-plus) and community engagement/relations. Hosting virtual fundraising events such as Amazing Give and Giving Tuesday.

    Drivers Requirement:

    Must have a current Florida Driver's License with a clean driving record while meeting company insurance requirements.
    In order to qualify as a Center Driver, the candidate must at least 21 years of age and have an active Florida Driver's license. Motor Vehicle Record will be reviewed for eligibility. No more than 3 moving violations and/or accidents within the past 3 years and no major violations during the past 5 years. Drivers over 65 years old must provide a current doctor's note stating they have no driving limitations.
