About the Role:

The Clinical Director of Inpatient & Central Receiving Services is a key leadership role responsible for driving clinical, operational, and strategic excellence across Access and Emergency Services. This position ensures the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care while maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance, and operational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership

  • Direct and oversee daily clinical operations, including patient admission, treatment, and discharge procedures.
  • Ensure efficient workflows and optimal utilization of resources.
  • Participate in a leadership on-call rotation to provide leadership support for clinical and operational issues outside of standard business hours.
  • Lead the response to emergent situations, staffing needs, and critical incidents to ensure continuity of care and patient safety.

Clinical Staff Supervision

  • Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate clinical staff (e.g., nurses, therapists, social workers).
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance team environment.

Quality and Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to all state, federal, and accreditation standards (e.g., CARF, LSF, AHCA, DCS)
  • Lead quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.

Treatment Planning

  • Develop and implement evidence-based treatment protocols focused on patient safety, stabilization and recovery.


Performance Metrics

  • Define, track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Utilize data to drive clinical and operational improvements.


Work Location & Schedule

  • This is an on-site position requiring regular presence at assigned facilities within Access and Emergency Services.
  • Position may require flexibility in scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on operational needs.
  • Participation in an on-call rotation is required to support 24/7 operations.


What We're Looking For

Education:

  • Master's Degree: Nursing (MSN), Healthcare Administration, Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related fields.

Licensure: 

  • Active professional license in the state of Florida (RN, LCSW, LMHC, or equivalent) strongly preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive leadership or supervisory experience in behavioral or mental health care settings.
  • Experience in inpatient, acute care, or crisis response settings (required)
  • Behavioral or mental health experience (required)
  • Experience in healthcare and nonprofit settings (preferred)
