About the Role
The Director of Human Resources is a highly responsible administrative management position, responsible for oversight of all HR functions, including employee relations, compliance, engagement, and training. This role ensures accurate HR data management, policy adherence, and effective communication strategies. Additionally, the Director oversees Talent Acquisition, driving recruitment strategies to attract and retain top talent while aligning with organizational goals.
You will:
· Human Resources Leadership and Compliance
o Ensure accuracy of HRIS data for hires, terminations, benefits, compensation, and performance.
o Maintain compliance with EEO and complete required reports.
o Update HR policies and procedures annually and recommend enhancements.
o Ensure compliance with FMLA, ADA accommodations, and Workers' Compensation regulations.
o Model and maintain a proactive, customer-focused approach within HR and across departments.
· Employee Relations and Engagement
o Provide consultation on HR policies, grievances, and corrective actions.
o Investigate complaints of harassment or discrimination and recommend appropriate action.
o Work with SVP of Workforce and Communication on employee engagement surveys, including engagement strategies and follow up actions.
· Recruitment and Talent Acquisition
o Directo and optimize recruitment processes to ensure timely and effective hiring.
o Collaborate with department leaders to respond to staffing needs and implement sourcing strategies.
o Monitor recruitment metrics and ensure compliance with applicable laws and internal standards.
· Training and Development
o Oversee Training Manager, partnering to ensure training is aligned with organizational needs, engagement efforts, and culture goals.
o Develop and deliver training for supervisors on coaching, complaint handling, and management responsibilities.
· Data Analysis and Reporting
o Analyze turnover trends, exit interviews, and performance issues and provide recommendations as appropriate.
o Establish and report on HR, engagement, and recruitment metrics to support continuous improvement.
Organizational Relationships:
· Reports to the SVP of Workforce and Communications
Active member of the Senior Leadership Teams.
· Directly reporting subordinates may include:
o Manager(s)
o Administrative Staff
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification preferred but not required.
Minimum of five years of progressive HR experience, including leadership roles.
Experience in behavioral health, healthcare, or nonprofit sectors preferred.
Strong knowledge of HR best practices and experience in talent acquisition and employee engagement strategies.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Drivers Requirement: Must have a current Florida Driver's License with a clean driving record while meeting company insurance requirements. In order to qualify as a Center Driver, the candidate must at least 21 years of age and have an active Florida Driver's license. Motor Vehicle Record will be reviewed for eligibility. No more than 3 moving violations and/or accidents within the past 3 years and no major violations during the past 5 years.
