About the Role

As the Jail Based MAT Registered Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the operational excellence and strategic direction of Meridian. You will:

  • Distribute and administer medications as ordered by a physician.
  • Perform shift assessments, intake RN assessments/admissions, full and screening, and discharge assessments.
  • Obtain, assess, and disseminate necessary information, including incident reports based on interviews as needed.
  • Perform initial physical assessments and ongoing re-assessments.
  • Assess and collect data to determine client stability, safety, and pain status on admission.
  • Integrate assessment findings with previously reported or documented information to determine changes in the client's status.
  • Recognize interrelationships between assessment findings, changes in status, and lack of response to therapy.
  • Follow up on abnormal assessment findings, changes in status, and lack of response to therapy.
  • Initiate Treatment Plan and Nursing Care Plan.
  • Plan and coordinate initial and ongoing care based on assessments and re-assessments.
  • Provide client and family/significant other education and discharge preparation as appropriate.
  • Initiate, verify, and carry out physician orders transcribing to the Medication Administration Record as appropriate.

What We're Looking For

  • Clear/Active license to practice as an RN in the State of Florida.
  • Experience in an inpatient psychiatric unit preferred.
  • 3+years of experience with Mental Health population, Crisis Units, Substance use, Corrections, or psych settings preferred. Experience must be met while utilizing respective license.

Drivers Requirement:?

Must have a current Florida Driver's License with a clean driving record while meeting company insurance requirements.

In order to qualify as a Center Driver, the candidate must be have an active Florida Driver's license. Motor Vehicle Record will be reviewed for eligibility. No more than 3 moving violations and/or accidents within the past 3 years and no major violations during the past 5 years.
