Location: Gainesville
Rate of Pay: $16.00/hour

Positions allocated to this classification report to a designated supervisor (VP of Finance), and work under general supervision.  Work in this class is distinguished from higher classes by its limited technical knowledge and from lower classes by its emphasis on professional bookkeeping and accounting skills.


Minimum Qualifications:

Graduation from an accredited two-year college with an AA, AS, BS, or BBA degree in accounting, business administration, economics or other related disciplines, or an equivalent combination of education (or training) and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.


Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Timely entering and processing of POS vouchers and cutting checks for various grants, eg. SSVF & CJMSAG.
  • Maintenance and monthly billing of Revenue contracts, and entering invoices in MIP/EMR.
  • Processing Drawdowns from PMS and assisting with various contract reporting requirements.
  • Entering banking deposits in MIP
  • Enters credit card transactions for all grant credit cards, and reconciles the entries to MIP.
  • Maintains various recurring journal entries and schedules, as part of month-end closing tasks. 
  • Maintains flow of financial data to general ledger and helps to maintain chart of accounts
  • Responsible for reviewing the AR Aged Report on a regular basis, and investigating outstanding invoices.
  • Assists with required supporting schedules to external auditors.
  • Attends work on a continuous and regular basis. 
  • Other duties, as assigned.
